Contract type: Permanent for September 2021

Reporting to: Headteacher

Responsible for:

  • Improving quality of education and outcomes across school
  • Provision and outcomes within early years (will need to be able to take leadership of early years initially)
  • Leading curriculum and assessment

We are seeking an outstanding teacher to join our senior leadership team at Glenfield Infants. We are part of an Academy Trust (Hamwic) and work closely with Edwin Jones Partnership (local schools). We are a three form entry school set in beautiful woodlands close to Bitterne. We pride ourselves on our nurturing ethos which permeates throughout the school. We provide exciting opportunities across the curriculum to instill a love for learning.  Our children are happy and enjoy school due to the commitment of our caring and dedicated staff.

The successful applicant will be:

  • An outstanding practitioner with wide experience within KS1 and EYFS with the ability to lead and manage EYFS effectively
  • Successful and inspirational with a proven track record for improving outcomes
  • Innovative, organised and passionate about improving educational standards
  • Approachable, visible and supportive of children, staff and parents
  • Excellent at communication and have the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, governors, parents and pupils
  • Can consolidate and build upon what has already been achieved by implementing further strategies to improve and raise standards, achievement and aspirations
