Glenfield Infant School

together we are brilliant

Parent Comittee (FOG)

Who are we?

We are a group of volunteers (parents, family members of the schools’ pupils and Glenfield staff) who spend time supporting the school to raise funds to provide extra resources for the school for which the school budget doesn’t meet, e.g. theatre visits, new playground equipment.

There is always something that needs doing – manning stalls at Summer and Christmas fayres, wrapping up presents and manning our Mother’s & Father’s day gift shopping event, preparing children’s tea for their discos, photocopying items for Halloween, Easter and Christmas children’s competitions.

The list is endless...

AGM

Every year we have to hold an Annual General Meeting where committee members are voted in – this needs to be by a percentage of all the parents/carers of Glenfield’s pupils – and is a formality of the Constitution. This is why we need parents to come along to our AGM each year – you do not have to become a member (unless you wish to) – we need a show of hands to enable us to have this committee.

A massive thank you to everyone at Glenfield for their support and to FOG for their hard work.
