PSHE/RSE
Parent and Carer Consultation 2026-2027
As part of your child's education at Glenfield Infant School , we promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme which we deliver through PSHE lessons using Coram Scarf scheme and assemblies. PSHE education gives the young people in our community the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy and productive lives.
It is a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales teach relationships, sex (RSE) and health education as a fundamental part of the curriculum. You may also be aware that there are some changes to the statutory guidance which take effect from September 2026. As part of the implementation of this updated curriculum, schools must consult with children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a consensus on our approaches to policy and curriculum content.
Glenfield Infant School will be starting this consultation process on Friday 9th October 2026 and the consultation will close on Friday 23rd October 2026. As part of the consultation, parents, staff and governors will be asked to read through the following documents and make comments on them using the online form: PSHE/RSE Parental Consultation 2026 – Fill in form
